So my project the past week has been sewing a bubble skirt from a New Look pattern I have. I had purchased this great Anna Sui silk print from Fabric Mart and thought it would be really cute. It was going well...until it wasn't. My invisible zipper didn't want to go in, so I ended up resewing it four times. By the fourth time I just left it in and I hoped it would work. It's got an issue or two but it could have been much worse.
I love how the 'bubble' came out on the bottom. It's a silk taffeta and the way it floats and moves is so pretty!
I have a TON of sewing projects I want to get done but I need to prioritize. I'm working on a Chanel-style jacket with actual Chanel fabric (eek!) and I'm lining it with silk crepe de chine, so I'm going to work on that lining to get that done.
